Join the Crew!

Help us bring the magic of a new museum to life! By sharing your time, talent, and creativity, you play a vital role in building a vibrant, playful community for local children and their families.

Support our mission and community by volunteering in a range of roles at the Children's Museum.

Even if you can't volunteer, you can still help by donating needed supplies like craft materials and clothing.

Artist Opportunties 

Help us shape the future of play. We are looking for local artists, makers, and dreamers to bring our immersive spaces to life.

  • Artists are invited to design miniature, detailed micro-environments or dimensional shadow boxes to be discovered throughout various museum galleries.

    Art Requirements:

     

    • Enclosure: All vignettes will be permanently mounted behind protective plexiglass, meaning delicate or highly detailed mediums can be safely used.

     

    • Sizing: Precise maximum width, height, and depth specifications will be provided.

    • Available Spaces & Themes:

    • Climber "Find Me" Ecosystems (5 available slots)

    • Black Light Animals and Plants in National Treasures (3 slots)

    • Construction (1)

    • Trains (1)

    • Farmer’s Market (1)

    • Culinary Arts (1)

    • Little Foot Toddler Area (1)

    • Teddy Bear Clinic (1)

    • Main Lobby Area (1)

  • This immersive play area brings the local ecosystem to life. Artists are invited to create representations of local wildlife, plants, and fungi. 

    Art Requirements:

    • High-Level Installations: Artwork placed out of reach has no touch-safety constraints, allowing for maximum creative freedom and texture.

    • Low-Level Installations: Any artwork placed at child-height must be completely smooth and safe for hands-on exploration.

    • Peek-A-Boo Vignettes: Miniature scenes integrated into the cave walls will be fully enclosed behind plexiglass.

Exhibit  Opportunities

Looking for local builders, woodworkers, and creators to share their talents.

  • Do you have carpentry, woodworking, or fabrication skills? We are looking for handy community members, makers, and tradespeople to roll up their sleeves and help build the physical components of our new museum from the ground up!

    Whether you are an expert woodworker who can help craft custom play structures or a hobbyist eager to assist our design team with assembly, your hands-on skills can directly bring our interactive galleries to life. Let us know your areas of expertise, and join the crew building a brand-new home for play in Grants Pass!
